
Michael Ropacki
Oryzon Genomics
Dr. Ropacki currently serves as Chief Medical Officer, CNS at Oryzon Genomics. He is also President of Strategic Global Research & Development (SG R&D), a San Francisco-based consultancy that collaborates with sponsors to develop and execute clinical development plans and optimize regulatory interactions.
Prior to his role at SG R&D, Dr. Ropacki served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at MedAvante-ProPhase. Before that, he held roles of increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson, most recently as Director of Clinical Development, Neuroscience, Research and Development at Janssen Research & Development, where he served as Clinical Lead responsible for developing and leading the Cognitive Health in Aging Registry. He previously served as Global Medical Affairs Leader and Head of Late-Stage Development at Janssen Alzheimer’s Immunotherapy, LLC.
Dr. Ropacki also serves as Co-Chair of a Scientific Advisory Group for the Innovative Medicines Initiative – European Prevention of Alzheimer’s Dementia (IMI-EPAD) program and as an advisor to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He holds a doctorate from Texas Tech University and completed his internship and residency in Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, followed by two postdoctoral fellowships at Brown University School of Medicine and the UCLA School of Medicine Neuropsychiatric Institute.
